We offer a range of assessment services for children and adolescents. We work with children as young as 2 years old, and as old as age 19. If your child has difficulty with learning, memory, language, attention, behaviour, social skills, or is not meeting major developmental milestones, an assessment can help provide answers and a personalized plan for helping your child to succeed.

These assessments can be used to diagnose or screen for:

  • Learning Disabilities (challenges with learning, comprehension, language processing, memory, reading, writing, math)

  • Intellectual Disabilities

  • Global Developmental Delays

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Giftedness or high ability

  • Social skills deficits

  • Behaviour disorders (such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder)

  • Common mental health disorders (such as Anxiety or Depression)

  • Speech or language concerns (for which we refer to a Speech and Language Pathologist)

If you are unsure about which services your child needs, don’t worry! At the first meeting your psychologist will listen to all of your concerns and suggest the appropriate services. We will work with you to create a plan, and you are involved every step of the way. If we are not able to provide the appropriate service, we will recommend other service providers in the community.
