Tamara is a Registered Social Worker in Ontario with many years of experience working with children and adolescents with mental health challenges. She completed her graduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. Tamara has worked in schools, in the community, and in outpatient hospital settings. Tamara is compassionate, non-judgemental and her approach is client-centred.
She specializes in treating children, adolescents and young adults who struggle with generalized and social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression or low mood, personality disorders, suicidal thoughts and/or self-harm, relationship issues, or difficulty regulating emotions.
Tamara uses a variety of evidence-based approaches depending on the client's needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Mindfulness based-practices. She has experience working with members from the LGBTQ community and trauma survivors.
